Day 4

Good morning.

Refreshing water in the morning!

"God said, 'Behold, I have given you every seed bearing plant on the face of the earth, and every tree that has seed bearing fruit. It shall be to you for food.' "
Gen. 1:29

God's Nutritionist
In order to know what are the best foods, we must study God's original plan for man's diet. He who created man and who understands his needs appointed Adam his food. "Behold," He said, "I have given you every herb yielding seed,....and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food." Upon leaving Eden to gain his livelihood by tilling the earth under the course of sin, man received permission to eat also "the herb of the field."(Ministry of Healing, 1905)

Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet. (Ministry of Healing, 1905)

Monday, April 28, 2014

Welcome to my blog!

After talking with some friends the other day about health and how to improve it, I decided to do a one-year experiment.
Here are some of the reasons why I am doing this (not in order of importance):

to be healthier and improve on areas that need to
to enjoy life
to have more energy
avoid disease/illness
look better
for my kids
improve self-confidence
inspire others
enjoy the great outdoors
better mental health

But I won’t stop here. Along with this I have an invitation for you too.

So, I’m inviting you or someone that you know and would like to participate in this with me to come on board! I believe that we have the Health message for a reason and we should use it and maybe share our experiences with others for support and encouragement as well.

I do not have any fancy speech for this but I will try my best in explaining what I have in mind.

I will try to post what I did (the basics) every day (except on Sabbath for this will be my day of rest!) and from that we’ll see what happens. I’ll post improvements in my health and if you want to participate in this too, please let me know so we can help and encourage one another. If you want to participate but be left alone, that is fine too.

Here we go!
